- Head to the pier early. Roads around Dubai Marina and Downtown are restricted on 31 December, so plan to arrive well before boarding.

31 December is the busiest night of the year on Dubai’s roads. Last year, the RTA closed roads around Downtown in stages from 4:00 PM, with a partial closure of Sheikh Zayed Road from 11:00 PM, and access around Dubai Marina is usually restricted in the evening.
